Over the past week or so I think I have received numerous messages to join Live Profile, it has come up in conversation at get-togethers, and even my parents have heard about it – I don’t think I am going out on a limb here when I say that Live Profile seems to be THE new messaging application for smartphones. Live Profile is free and available for BlackBerry, Android, and iPhone. The UI for the Live Profile is user friendly and there is no struggle to find the different features.
Live Profile provides users with a pin and users can add contacts to Live Profile by knowing their PIN – just like BBM! But unlike BBM, Live Profile can scan your Facebook list and notify you which of your friends are on Live Profile. Additionally, status updates on Live Profile are connected to Facebook and Twitter! There are already approximately 2 million users on Live Profile. Lastly, just like BBM, Live Profile has read receipts and also does not require a sign-in process.
So far Live Profile seems like a hit, only time will determine if it here to stay and whether it will replace BBM and WhatsApp!
My prediction, or rather, my 2 cents
BBM is just a habit and it may be one that is not too hard to break - Live Profile is easy to use and has pretty much the same features as BBM + more – I think BBM finally has met its match and Live Profile is here to stay!
